Farmhouse Laundry Room Reveal

I told you about the laundry room board and batten wall.
I'd had this room on my list for a while.
I believe that a white room needs texture and layers in order to be a little more interesting.
We also needed plenty of hooks for drying our delicates.
Is it just me or does it seem that there are so many things that can't go in the dryer?
We have shirts hanging all over the place on laundry day.
It isn't just my stuff.
Bill has all these air dry sport shirts that are a little persnickety.

We only had four hooks and it wasn't enough.
A new wall of hooks in a board and batten wall would accomplish both tasks.
It would add interest and we would have more places to hang our shirts.
I told you how I did the wall in this post.
I ordered the hooks off of eBay. They were not a bargain.
They would have been if they were the size I thought they were. They were much smaller but it's okay because they are cute.

This is the fourth time that something was way smaller than it appeared in the eBay photos.
My tip?
Measure, measure, measure!

A new white valance graces the window.
The shutters came from a garage sale.

The gas station number were only $1.00 each at a flea market.
The school clock was being thrown out at my school.

Everything feels fresh and clean.

My mom made the cross stitch for me when I was little.
It is so perfect!

The touches of aqua go with the new kitchen color.

The faux tin backsplash piece covers an outlet because this house has some outlets in awkward places.
I can still get behind it to plug in my sewing machine.
I love this stuff but it is kind of pricey at $26.00 a piece.
You can find it at Home Depot or Lowe's.

The chandelier was only $5.00 at one of my favorite antique malls.

Now that this room is done another ceiling is marked off of the list.
We only have one more to scrape but we have several more to paint.

This room is small but it looks bigger now that it is white.

Thanks for stopping by.
What do you think?
I hope you have a great day.
Katie
